Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef, and an former Institute of Culinary Education instructor, is a TV personality. She hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef at the Food Network. Anne Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef is a hit with her signature spikey blonde locks and pump up appearance, offers easy techniques anyone can master. Chef Burrell worked in New York at top restaurants and studied the Italian culinary traditions and environment. Also, she was a contestant on Iron Chef America on Food Network. As a child in the upstate New York area, Chef Burrell found a passion for cooking and food early on. She pursued her love of food and restaurant by enroling at The Culinary Institute of America following the completion of a bachelor's degree in English and Communications from Canisius College, Buffalo NY. I enjoyed every moment that I was a student at The Culinary Institute of America she says. I could not be more educated or accomplished in my studies. When I graduated from the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners chef Burrell spent an entire year in Italy studying and working at La Taverna del Lupo restaurant located in Umbria as well La Bottega del 30 one Michelin star in Tuscany. When she was in Italy the chef developed an appreciation for and appreciation for Italian food. This had an enormous impact on how she views food. Burrell is a well-known ambassador of the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation. She has been on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which assists kids with disabilities. She frequently travels around the country in her role as both a mentor and guest speaker where she discusses her work and passion for cooking. Anne has said throughout her culinary career she is incredibly fortunate to be able share with others what is essential to her.
