Carrie-Anne Moss
Canadian actor
Carrie-Anne Moss was born August 21 in 1967. She gained fame due to her role in
the role of Trinity in The Matrix (1999-present) after appearing on television
early. Memento (2000) won her the Independent Spirit Award for Best Male
Supporting Role, Red Planet (2000), Chocolat (2000) and Fido (2006). Snow Cake
(2006) won her the Genie Award as Best Performance by an Actress In a
Supporting Part. Jeri Hogarth was also her part in a variety of TV shows which
Marvel Television produced for Netflix as well as Jessica Jones (2015-2018).
Carrie-Anne was born in Burnaby, British Columbia, the daughter of Barbara and
Melvyn Moss. Brooke is her older brother. Moss's mom named her after
"Carrie Anne" the 1967 Hollies hit track. It came out in the month of
May, 1967. Moss resided with her mother in Vancouver as a young girl. She
joined the Vancouver children's musical theatre group at the age of 11 years
old. Later, she embarked on a tour of Europe as an active member of the Magee
Secondary School Choir her senior year. Moss lived in Spain at the time, was
cast as Tara Marshall (the clerk to Bruce Marshall, the Judge Bruce Marshall)
in Dark Justice her first TV character. The show was a success and she
relocated from Barcelona to Los Angeles in 1992. Moss quit Dark Justice in the
third and final season. Elisa Heinsohn replaced her as Samantha
"Sam", Collins.
