Ayelet Zurer
Ayelet Zurer one of Israel's best loved
actresses, is a very special woman. Her birthplace is in Tel Aviv, and first
attracted the attention of Hollywood when she was chosen by Steven Spielberg in
her first English-speaking role as Eric Bana's character's spouse in the
Oscar(r) nominated film Munich (2005). Zurer has appeared in several Studio
films since arriving in the United States, including Sony Pictures' Vantage
Point opposite William Hurt and Dennis Quaid Samuel Goldwyn's Fugitive Parts
with Stephen Dillane, Paul Schrader’s Adam Resurrected alongside Jeff Goldblum,
and Willem Dafoe. Ron Howard's Angeles and Demons opposite Tom Hanks. Darling
Companion is an ensemble of Lawrence Kasdan that features Diane Keaton and
Kevin Kline. Warner Bros. Man Of Steel along with Russell Crow. Ewan McGregor
was the director of Rodrigo Garcia, Last Days in the Desert, and she has been
waiting for the release date of The Last Knights, a film directed by Kazuaki
Kiriya. She is starring alongside Clive Owen. Recently, she won the Gold Nymph
Award as Outstanding Actress in the Drama Series at the 54th International
Festival of Television of Monte-Carlo. This was for her part in
"Hostages". Ayelet won the Israeli Film And Television Academy Award
for her performance as the lead in Nina's Tragedies. She was nominated to be a
part of the Academy Awards for her performance in the movies Only Dogs Run Free
(from the Holy Apple Field), Desperado, Rutenberg, and The Dybuk from Holy
Apple Field. She was also honored with the Haifa International Film Festival
critic's award, and a star in Haifa's "film Boulevard" for her
regional and international achievements. Zurer also won the Israeli Television
Academy Award for her lead performance in "In Treatment," an extremely
acclaimed television series that has been adapted by HBO to be adapted for
American television. Zurer was also nominated for appropriateness in 2014's
best drama "Shtisel" as well as was awarded the most outstanding
actress for drama for her portrayal as a brilliant surgeon facing a
life-and-death dilemma in Hostages. The series was licensed to BBC4 &
Canal Plus and the American ABC. Golbary, Israel's most prominent women's
fashion company, is her "face". She is a producer as well as a
writer. Ayelet is currently working on a couple of projects in Israel and the
United States. She has expressed an her interest in collaborations with
international directors from all over the world and believes in joining unknown
writers/directors.
