Robin Gayle
Robin Gayle Wright was born in Dallas,
Texas, to Gayle (Gaston) and was an executive director for national operations
at Mary Kay, and Freddie Wright who was a pharmaceutical executive. She was
raised in San Diego, California. Her professional career began as a model in
the year 1980 when she was 14 years old, and also worked in Paris and Japan.
After finishing high school she decided to become an actor. She was offered a
part on Santa Barbara's soap opera (1984), and was nominated for three Daytime Emmy
Awards. She fell in love with Dane Witherspoon during the first season. They
were married in the year 1986. She starred in the show as the princess bride
(1987) in the role of the title. She was in the role of Santa Barbara but left
to be a part of Denial (1990) together with Jason Patric. She was introduced to
Sean Penn in 1990 while she was in State of Grace (1990). They had daughters
Dylan Frances with him and an infant son named Hopper Jack. Robin returned to
Hollywood after a break with one of her most memorable parts: Tara in The
Playboys (1992). She was an amazing actress and a brilliant performer. She
starred in Toys (1992) which was the comedy featuring Robin Williams. It was an
extremely funny performance. Wright played the role of Jenny in the blockbuster
smash Forrest Gump (1994), acting alongside Tom Hanks. For her performance in
the film as Jenny she was awarded an nomination for a Golden Globe Award. She
was offered a tiny role in The Crossing Guard (1995), with Jack Nicholson.
After being rejected for 14 roles, she was finally offered the title role in
MGM/UA's Moll Flanders (1996). Pen Densham directed her and Stockard Channing
played the role. Her next film was Erin Dignam's Loved (1997) along with
William Hurt.
