Charisma Carpenter
Charisma Carpenter was born on July 23 70 years ago. Cordelia Chase played the role of Cordelia in Buffy the Vampire's supernatural drama (1997-1999) as well as its spin-off series Angel (1999-04). She also starred in Charmed (2004) as well as Kendall Casablanca's part in Veronica Mars (2006). Rebecca Sewell was in The Lying Game (2012)-2013. Lacy was featured in The Expendables film franchise (2010)-2012. Carpenter was born in Las Vegas. Carpenter is of Spanish, French, and German origin (from her maternal grandfather). Carpenter was a student at Bishop Gorman High school located in Las Vegas. She was involved in a dance and dance group that was a part of the Las Vegas Valley. Carpenter moved with her family to Rosario Beach in Baja California, Mexico, at age 15. She went to Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. Carpenter went on a trip to Europe after her graduation. She returned to San Diego and worked in the video store as an aerobics instructor, property management and as a cashier. She was a cheerleader with San Diego Chargers football in 1991. Her move to Los Angeles in 1992. In 1991, Henry Hubbard Jr. confronted her along with two of her male colleagues as they were swimming in San Diego. He was a former San Diego cop and serial rapist who attempted to subdue them using a gun. During the battle she and her two friends along with Hubbard were shot, forcing Hubbard to flee the scene; both friends were able to escape the assault. Hubbard was taken into custody and convicted, and sentenced to 56 years in prison for several rapes. Carpenter stole Hubbard's flashlight one of the police's flashlights, off the shore. The flashlight was an important element of evidence used against Hubbard.
