Rita Ora Bio
Rita Ora (British singer-songwriter) is her name. Rita Sahatciu Ora was a British singer and songwriter born to Vera Bajraktari and Besnik Sahatciu in Pristina, Kosovo in 1990. Besim Sahatciu is her granddaughter. When she was just one, her family decided to relocate to the United Kingdom. She was raised in West London and attended St Cuthbert with St Matthias CE Primary School in Earls Court, following which she was accepted into Sylvia Young Theatre School and afterward, St Charles Catholic Sixth Form College. She began singing in the early years of her life. In 2004, she appeared in the British film Spivs. She was chosen to audition for Eurovision: Your Country is in need of You as a British participant in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. However she decided to withdraw from the contest after just a few shows because she did not feel ready. The first release of Ora's music was in 2007, when she featured on Craig David's song "Awkward", and again in 2008 on "Where is Your Love" featuring Tinchy Stryder. She also appeared in the music videos. Ora began to sing in bars throughout London. Roc Nation was told by an A&R agent about Ora in the year 2009 just days following Ora flew to New York and met Jay-Z. In 2009, Ora made a cameo in Jay-Z's video for "Young Forever" and "Over" by Drake. Jay-Z was impressed by Ora's talent and quickly signed the singer to Roc Nation. In which Ora was featured in a commercial promoting Skullcandy Aviator Headphones. Her father Besnik was a pub owner and she began her singing shows from the same pub. Gwen Stefani was her major influence. Her father was a bar owner and she began singing in the same pub. She is friends with Kate Moss, and Ed Sheeran.
