Mila Kunis Bio

Mila Kunis was born Milena Kunis in Chernivtsi, Ukraine on the 14th of August 1983. Kunis, then seven years old, immigrated to America with her parents Elvira und Mark Kunis. Then she moved to Los Angeles. The Kunis family had only $250 to their name when they arrived in their new country. Kunis parents decided to quit their jobs to move and were determined to give their children a better life. Mark was a former engineer in mechanical engineering, swiftly was able to find work as a taxi driver. Elvira, an entomologist from Ukraine, ended up running an entomology clinic. Kunis stated, "I didn’t understand the American culture" when he arrived in the United States. I was not able to grasp the American culture. I didn't know the language. My essay to get in college started with this line: "Imagine being blinded and deaf at the age of 7." And that's what it was like moving to America. I quickly got over it. Milena Markovna Kunis is the daughter of Mark Kunis in Chernivtsi (Ukraine), and Elvira. Her elder brother is also hers. Her mother works as a physics teacher however, she runs a pharmacy well. Her father is a mechanical engineer by profession. He also is also taxi driver. Her family is Jewish and her family moved to Los Angeles at the age of seven. Rosewood Elementary was her school. When she was just nine-years-old she started acting lessons. After auditioning for commercials, she was cast in her first television role in the show 'Daily Days of Our Lives' 1994. In 1998, she was cast as Jackie Burkhart in the hit sitcom "That  1970s Show". She received rave reviews for her performance, and was later asked to lend her voice to the character on "Family Guy" as Meg Griffin.
