Mena Alexandra Suvari Bio
Suvari made one-episode appearances in Psych in 2010, as well as in The Cape in 2011, and also had a two-episode episode as the Black Dahlia in Murder House, the first season of the horror anthology series American Horror Story. In the independent romantic comedy You May Not Kiss the Bride (2010) with Dave Annable, Katharine McPhee and Rob Schneider, Suvari starred as the psychotic assistant to a pet photographer. The film premiered at the Sonoma International Film Festival. It was then released in select theaters as well as on VOD. The film received mostly negative reviews. Blu-ray.com said the film would be "a distracting, noisy and unlikable film" which "depends on Suvari and Schneider to handle the comedy workload, which is about as appealing as it looks". In 2011, she starred in the made-for-television film No Surrender, as a writer having a deranged stalker as well as in the B film Restitution in which she starred alongside Tom Arnold. Suvari returned to American Pie when she played the character of Heather in American Reunion (2012). The plot revolved around the original protagonists, who are approaching middle age and preparing for the possibility of a reunion. Film critics found it to be an "sweetly nostalgic and comfort food" for fans of the series. With the worldwide total of US$235 million, American Reunion emerged as Suvari's most-widely seen film since 2001's American Pie 2. The film was also Suvari's only broad release in the decade of 2010, as did all of her previous and subsequent films -- The Knot (2012), Don't Blink (2014), The Opposite Sex (2014), Badge of Honor (2015), and Becks (2017)-which premiered on festivals circuits or on digital markets.
