Meredith Salenger Bio

Meredith Salenger is an actress as well as a writer, producer and activist born and raised in Malibu, CA. She began her professional acting career at 10 years old, playing a singing and dancing orphan in "Annie"(1982) directed by John Huston. At the age of 14, she was playing in the lead role of "The Journey of Natty Gann" opposite John Cusack and Ray Wise (1985), which was the first American movie to win the gold prize at the Moscow Film Festival. The film also won Meredith "Best Actress in a Drama" at the Youth in Film Awards for her stunning portrayal of the tomboyish Natty Gann. After appearing in the teen films "Dream a Little Dream" with The Coreys, as well as "A Night in Life of Jimmy Reardon" with River Phoenix and Matthew Perry The latter film starred Matthew Perry and River Phoenix. Meredith took a 4 year break before leaving Hollywood for Harvard where she earned a cum with honors, a degree in Psychology. Meredith was cast alongside Steve Carrell in "H.U.D" and "Chicks" as well as the same writers as Seinfeld. She has appeared in guest roles on "Will & Grace," Charlie Sheen's "Anger Management", Happy! and numerous other shows. She was a fan of her dramatic roles in shows like 24, Dawson's Creek, Grey's Anatomy, Daredevil, Damages, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Cold Case, Close to Home, etc. Meredith was also on the stage in David Kelley's "Lake Placid" with Bill Pullman, Brendan Gleeson, Oliver Platt and Betty White as well as John Carpenter's "Village of the Damned" with Mark Hamill and Christopher Reeves and many other Independent films. Meredith was later used as a character in Star Wars films like The Clone Wars, Rebels and The Force Awakens. She has voiceover work on the Secret Life of Pets 2. My Little Pony, Teen Titans Go To the Movies, Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go! Robot Chicken, Lego DC Super Hero Girls and More. During all of these, Meredith got certified in Mediation from the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law in 2009 and was able to successfully mediate over 100 cases through the Los Angeles Superior courts. She was married to comedian Patton Oswalt in 2017 and became a mom in the blink of an eye to the adorable and sly Alice who is now her top person ever! She has been writing and producing sitcoms as well as animated shows since 2021 , along with Matt Boren. She also voiced a variety of animated shows that include Marvel's M.O.D.O.K. on HULU. (2021) She also produces and hosts a hilarious podcast with her husband called, "Did you get my text?"
